We would love to help you plan for your dream day. We offer individual lessons to the music of your choice and the style of dance that suits you best. Our teachers have many years of experience in preparing couples for their wedding dance. As a permanent dancing school we can accommodate your lessons at any time from Monday to Saturday 9am to 10pm. Lessons are for 50 minutes and are prices at £58. We offer five 50 minutes lessons for £250 if paid in advance. Please contact us for further details.
Whether you want to dance to keep fit, learn a new skill, enjoyment or to meet new people we can help you. Our students start dancing for many reasons and many of them continue to learn with us and enter examinations and competitions. We teach Ballroom and Latin American, Argentine Tango, Salsa, Old Time Dancing, American Smooth, West Coast Swing and a host of alternative Latin rhythms. We offer tuition through group classes and private tuition or a mix of both.
If you are attending an event and feel you would like to learn some dance steps beforehand then we can help. Whether this is for a wedding as a guest, a cruise, a ball or any other function we can help you dance and feel more confident. The lessons for this would be tailored to your specific event. Private dance lessons have a wide variety of advantages. Working in close relation to a tutor will help you improve at a faster rate. Private tuition will make sure that everything is bespoke to your individual needs, aims and ambitions. Private tuition can be arranged for any style of dancing we provide. We have a team of highly qualified and experienced dance teachers and we will match you with the teacher best suited for you. Your lesson will be arranged at a time that is suitable for you from Monday to Friday 9am to 10pm. Lessons are 50 minutes long and are priced at £53 for single people and £58 for couples. As an introductory offer if you are new to the dance school and have not danced before we offer for single people five 50 minute dance lessons for £225 and for couples we offer five 50 minute dance lessons for £250.
As an introduction to the dance school if you are a beginner and have never been to the school before we offer either a free 20 minute taster lesson or a free group class. If you have danced before then we offer either a free group class or 20 minute assessment lesson.
For those starting to dance group classes allow you to socialise whilst learning something new and exciting. Our students commend us on the friendly, entertaining environment we provide. If you get in trouble you will be readily assisted by our tutors. Qualified tutors will be on hand and we have structured courses designed to ensure you learn dances and steps quickly so that you can start to practice with other people. The cost for a four week beginners course is £60 per person, if you buy two four week courses at the same time it is £100. The next new beginners Ballroom and Latin American course will commence on Thursday 12th of September 2024.

Those starting to dance sometimes can’t decide if they would like to begin with group classes or private tuition. If this is you then please contact us so we can discuss a suitable approach for you to start learning to dance. A combination of both options gives you the ability to work through our syllabus for beginners whilst not fully committing to group lessons or private tuition.

You can choose between a 20 minute taster lesson with a teacher or you can attend one of our group classes free of charge. At The Capital Dance School we have a range of teachers with a wealth of knowledge and experience. We work with our teaching organisation The Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing and our teachers are qualified to the highest levels through this teaching society. If you are new to dancing then we make sure you can complete basic steps in a number of key dances through our method which has been devised in line with the societies syllabus. This is so you can get around the dance floor comfortably dancing with different people. After this you can progress to more advanced steps through group classes or private tuition or a combination of both. As each person will learn differently our teaching approach after completing the basic steps is very bespoke and intuitive as you work to progress and learn new steps and techniques. We have taught thousands of people over many years and have confidence our method will have you dancing around the floor quickly. Many of our students remain with us for many years and go on to enter examinations and to compete.
